Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 8 May 2025 · Effective Date: 8 May 2025
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Kasturi Tech website and your enrolment in any programme offered by Kasturi Tech, an AI development school registered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By accessing our website or submitting an enrolment enquiry, you agree to be bound by these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
2. Enrolment and Course Access
2.1 Enrolment process
Enrolment begins when you submit an enquiry and we confirm a place in a cohort. Confirmation is sent by email. A place is secured only when payment has been received in full.
2.2 Cohort sizes and availability
Each cohort is capped at twelve learners. When a cohort is full, enquiries are directed to the next available intake. Kasturi Tech reserves the right to defer a cohort if the minimum number of enrolled learners is not reached, in which case all payments will be refunded in full within 14 days.
2.3 Course materials and access
Course materials, session recordings, and platform access are provided for the duration of the enrolled programme. The Deep Learning Reasoning Room includes lasting access to materials and the alumni space as described in the course description. Access to materials is personal and non-transferable.
3. Payments
3.1 Fees
Course fees are as stated on the website at the time of enrolment and are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Fees are inclusive of all course materials, session recordings (where applicable), project feedback, and clinic access for the enrolled track.
3.2 Payment timing
Full payment is required before the first session of the cohort. Payment instructions are provided upon place confirmation. We accept payment by bank transfer to the details provided in your confirmation email.
3.3 Invoices
An official receipt is issued upon payment. If you require a formal tax invoice, please indicate this when you enquire and provide the relevant entity details.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by the learner
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the first session: full refund, less any bank transfer charges incurred
- Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the first session: 50% refund
- Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the first session, or after the programme has begun: no refund
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The date of receipt of the written request determines which refund band applies.
4.2 Deferral
If you need to defer your place to a future cohort, we will consider requests made at least 7 days before the programme begins. One deferral per enrolment is permitted, subject to availability. A deferred place does not entitle you to a refund if you later cancel.
4.3 Cancellation by Kasturi Tech
If Kasturi Tech cancels a cohort, enrolled learners will receive a full refund within 14 days. We will make reasonable efforts to offer a place in the next available cohort.
5. Learner Conduct
All learners are expected to engage respectfully with instructors and fellow cohort members during sessions and in shared channels. Kasturi Tech may remove a learner from a programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive, abusive, or harmful to others.
Project submissions and shared work must be the learner's own. Use of another person's work without attribution, or submitting work generated without understanding as if it were your own developed work, undermines the purpose of the programme and may result in removal from the cohort.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, worked examples, and written content provided by Kasturi Tech are the intellectual property of Kasturi Tech. You may use them for your personal study but may not share, reproduce, or sell them to others.
Your own project work remains your intellectual property. Kasturi Tech may, with your written permission, use a project as an anonymised reference example in future cohorts.
7. Completion Records
A completion record is issued to learners who attend at least 80% of live sessions and submit the required project work. The record is issued by Kasturi Tech and reflects completion of the enrolled programme.
Kasturi Tech makes no representation that its programmes satisfy any regulatory, licensing, or employment requirement. The completion record is a record of participation in a private programme, not a qualification regulated by any Malaysian authority.
8. Limitation of Liability
Kasturi Tech provides its courses for educational purposes. We do not promise any specific outcome from completing a programme, including employment, salary changes, or project success.
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Kasturi Tech's liability for any claim arising from these terms or a programme is limited to the fees paid for that programme.
9. Website Use
You may use our website for its intended purpose of learning about and enquiring into our programmes. You may not attempt to disrupt the website, access systems you are not authorised to access, or use automated tools to scrape content without our written consent.
Our website may link to external resources. We are not responsible for the content or availability of those resources.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. For enrolled learners, material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the website or participation in a programme after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
